@@GamerZakh I watched some of it. And it's completely no good. As it alters content. Rather than fix glitches and improve aesthetics only without affect to the game. So I'm not even sure if this 40 mod "graphics only" overhaul is also unnecessarily bloated. Essential mods are only mods that are absolutely necessary. Fix glitches, delay dark brother, optimize for modern screens, and general game optimization. All have zero effect on gameplay and graphics. They only fix problems and optimize the game. In addition to this, user qol options. An options mod that allows the user to improve basic qol. Like toggle crouch instead of hold it down. Rotate camera to see character in third person. Rather than see the back only. Not essential, but offers options for qol without affecting the game at all aside from user activation. Last is graphics overhaul of the game. Again, not essential, but completely does not affect the game in any way. Anything that adds content or alters content. Or changes gameplay, balance, etc is superfluous. Not essentials required for vanilla to function. Nor basic additions for qol options and graphics. The only exception is two mods from devs that update the game in 2010 and in 2023. These updates are not how the game initially released, but are from the devs of the game, and can be considered vanilla updates. Called Advanced and Affresh.

@@GamerZakh I'm pretty bummed about it all, honestly. I think it was always going to fall short of my stellar expectations, but this really feels like a slap in the face. The Homeworld universe makes such an incredible stage upon which a story can be told. It just seems like they didn't even try.

Yeah Homeworld campaigns are always short it seems, the pro RTS players finish the first game's campaign in 6-7 hours. If you skip cutscenes I've seen some do HW1's campaign in 4-5. I appreciate you being specific, this is the kind of approach that's more useful for people to understand your perspective and perspectives on what the game actually is.

Thank you for being specific. So to be clear, you would prefer a higher number of missions rather than longer playtime overall? Like you'd prefer it having 5 more mission but it taking less time to finish? Because that's what HW1 was, so I'd like to clarify that point.

Train Sim World 4 has already released, so it can't be in an upcoming games list. I did list it in an 'already released' list though. That's also why Flight Simulator isn't here. For Rail Route, I'm not sure if that counts as a train sim as it's more about route management. Kind of like Mini Motorways is not a car sim. Those are almost more puzzle games than simulations.

It's remastered in other ways

Yeah when I started this stream, I was thinking I'd just finish the campaign in 3-4 hours because it was so easy. Then mission 7 wrecked me and mission 9 is even tougher (for me). I did like you, F4 attack all lol. It stopped working mission 7 onwards. I also think there's too many interruptions, especially earlier on. Again, mission 7 doesn't really have them anymore. I don't know why, but the gameplay gets much better at the Naraka gate. Fewer interruptions and tactics required.

Thanks for being specific. So much of the conversation is just 'crap' or 'good' or 'bad', etc. When a game gets mixed reviews, those general statements just add to confusion.

@@GamerZakh i did read a lot of reviews honestly and i reached the conclusion they are just hating it because it shatter an old image. i have yet to find a more logical reason . those who say its pvp driven probably never played skirmich after the finished the campaign or complex mod who is only pvp or any mod that delete the campaign. those who hate on the MC are still not justified for why they give a dislike. those who say it plays bad idk what they are smocking the game plays almost like hw1 . a few category mention bugs but i have yet to face one. my ONLY struggle in the game was with fighters and smaller crafts if i put in neutral they dont defend themselves and fire while being static so we have to keep them on agressive all the time . i gave it thumbs up. also notice most peoples who dislike it dont elaborate while we who gave it a thumbs up are ready to write walls of texts . this is another proof they are just hating it for not feeling like the old games after them

@@LauftFafa What would you like me to elaborate on? How the AI is broken, loses orders, and in the case of capital ships they make up random orders so they go off and attack things on their own? Sticking with AI, want me to elaborate on the strike craft combat, and how they care more about maintaining their formation than combat maneuvering? What about how strike craft, ALL of them in a formation, will all shoot the same target instead of distributing fire like the 20 year old predecessors did? Would you like me to keep going about this? What about the missing mechanics? Ballistics were promised, but you can play the first mission with the training drones and see that they clearly not. They completely misunderstood what ballistic shots meant for HW1, and only missiles have it. What about how "Intelligently using cover" touted in the fig campaign, and how that just doesn't exist. How about the missing tactics? Of course this kind of harks back to the intelligent ship AI from the old games, that is missing from the new one. Tactics actually changed how ships acted in combat, and now they just decide whether ships engage enemies or not. Its pathetic. How about the capital ship combat? Why do capital ships literally just stand still? I don't expect them to zip everywhere, but the game was supposed to have ballistics, so shouldn't they be trying to dodge a little bit? The old games had this. Should I go on about the absolutely tiny ship roster, the stupidly rigid rock-paper-scissors balance, the overall mechanics missing that 20 year old games did better. Let me know what you'd like me to elaborate on. I've backed the game since 2019, and I'll tell you exactly what, how, and why its a bad game. Did you intentionally ignore the reviews you dislike? Meanwhile, GBX is literally paying for bot reviews. Its trivially easy to go find them. not really , its even more fleshed out than any hw game but i bet nostalgia is blinding you all. you say story is bad yet tell me if there was any story in the old beside the briefing about objectives and moaning about how they are alone , i will wait . only desert of kharak and this one have a true story the rest have nothing beside those 50 seconds pre mission reports or dialogue from makaan or karan who werent even that good like how makaan brag about chosens and sons of the rim and whatever. classic children's cartoons kind of dialogue what . but this is the catch , you WERE kids back in the day playing those games and now you are blinded you think that whatever bland story hw1 and 2 had are far better than an actual story that introduce us to so many things and explain how some things finally work like the navigators

And I don't have much else to say about it in our discussion, I just want you to know terrible people use the word consistently, so unless you explain it, people will think you're a terrible person. 'Woke' could mean anything. Your stance is, "I like historical accuracy when it comes to historical figures". You should say that instead because that's perfectly fine. I personally am not bothered by the casting of Cleopatra or the new AC game's deviation from history, but I can understand that accurate representation is important. See you're okay with an AC game having a woman viking character right? Because there were woman vikings and that character is fictional, so it could be anyone. Most people who say 'woke'? They say the woman viking is woke because they're sexist. Just for another reference, yesterday someone said Homeworld 3 was 'woke' because the protagonist was a woman and the second character was a black man. I went to their profile and their banner image was literally about supporting nazis and white supremacy. So when you call HW3 'woke', you're standing right next to an openly literal nazi. Neo nazis, sexists, and racists use 'woke' as a dogwhistle to identify each other and call out. If you study history, you find they always have a word or term they use which if taken literally is fine but they always mean it as something bad. So if you use the word, then just know you are associating yourself with nazis, sexists, and racists, even if you aren't, this is a word they use frequently. You can, that's your choice, you should just know that. @@ashtondillard6906 It will work, especially if you stick to the easy guide first and get that running. But also for Morrowind fps is all about view distance. You can always increase or decrease that and the shorter the view distance the more frames you get.

I'm playing terribly. It seems like it's working here and I was beginning to think the campaign is too easy. Today I streamed again and was planning to just finish the campaign in one sitting but mission 7, 8, and 9 kicked my butt a few times and I was forced to start microing and using better tactics. If you're playing on hard, just charging your ships around stops working on mission 7. You have to micro bombers and ion frigates to hit the big targets otherwise destroyers and carriers can beeline your mothership and just kill you.

@@GamerZakh Ship behaviour does not work, guard orders are ignored, again its the very essence of the game\maybe engine that is wrong in this game. Its disappointing since there are some good things in it.

@@Atrahasis7 Oh yeah there are some behaviour issues. Guard seems to work for me but there are times I'm wondering why a ship is so out of position or just not going to where I tell it.

Only the archive is for subs, when I'm actually live anyone can watch. The archive just gets converted to higher quality videos that end up here, like this video.

Yeah if they don't announce it soon it's probably not for 2024. For Civ 6 they revealed it early in the year for an October release.
